Abstract
Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and Care-Educational Technologies (CETs) play an essential role in health education, especially in the prevention and management of Stroke (CVA), considering factors such as hypertension, diabetes, and smoking. This integrative review, based on the PICO strategy, analyzed studies published between 2014 and 2023, resulting in 10 articles selected from 751 identified in the Virtual Health Library. The CETs found include online courses, videos, educational games, mobile apps, booklets, lectures, serial albums, and comics. These tools focused on the creation, validation, and application of educational methodologies for diverse audiences, such as caregivers, family members, older adults, children, teachers, and patients with comorbidities. It is concluded that CETs promote understanding, empowerment, and better management of stroke, contributing to the quality of life of those involved and reinforcing their importance in public health.
